Welcome From the CELC Director
Jessica Folstad - Director of Pupil Services
The Chequamegon Early Learning Center (CELC) strives to meet the needs of all children with creating a safe, structured environment to promote growth in the areas of person/social, physical, emotional and intellectual skills through purposeful play.
Within this center we have two programs running. The first is our daycare which serves children from 2 months to 5 years old. Within the daycare our staff create weekly lesson plans for each age level (infants, 2 and 3 year olds) based around a weekly theme. These plans incorporate hands-on experiences and engaging activities that promote early childhood development. This program is monitored by the state through strict guidelines. We have passed our initial visit and have also been granted WI Shares Child Care assistance through Youngstar; this allows our families to get assistance to help offset childcare costs.
The second is our Eagles Nest Kids Program. This program offers after school care for school age students (4K-5th Grade) that is overseen through our school board. At this program students are able to get homework help, develop social emotional skills and participate in fun creative activities.
Our mission is to enable students to enter the global society with the knowledge, skills, habits, and attitudes required to be contributing citizens.
